Students' Excursion to Shwedagon Pagoda, Martyrs' Mausoleum and Bogyoke Aung San Museum 24th October, 2013

Under the Community Involvement Programme, SEAMEO CHAT has planned activities for its adopted school, BEMS (3) Insein and one of the activities that has been carried out is an excursion of 18 outstanding students to Shwedagon Pagoda, Bogyoke Aung San Museum and Martyrs' Mausoleum on 24th October, 2013. The students led by the headmistress, and five teachers went on the excursion to three different places starting from 9:30 am from the Shwedagon Pagoda to Martyrs' Mausoleum and then to Bogyoke Aung San Museum. They got to the Centre at 12:30, had lunch and then in groups of six in each, they wrote a composition on their recent experience. They were given an hour to write the composition and at 3:00pm the students went in to the meeting room where the Acting Director and Officers were having a discussion with the headmistress and teachers on the needs of the school. The leader of each group read out their writing which they had prepared in group. Each composition is well organized and interesting. The Acting Centre Director gave presents to the students and the head mistress said words of thank on behalf of the teachers and students. The photo was taken together in front of the Centre and then the students and the teachers were shown around the Centre. They left the Centre at 4:00pm.
